Exodus 14:13–14 (NKJV)
“Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today… The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

The reassurance given to Moses and the Israelites is for us too—no matter where you are in life and no matter what situation you are facing.

When the Israelites stood before the Red Sea, they were trapped. The sea was in front of them. Pharaoh’s army was behind them. Fear surrounded them. Panic filled the atmosphere.

And yet, God’s instruction was not to run.
Not to panic.
Not to fight in their own strength.

It was simple: Stand still.

Standing still does not mean doing nothing—it means trusting God completely. It means refusing to let fear dictate your response. It means believing that God is about to move even when the situation looks impossible.

God Allows Tests to Reveal His Saving Power

There are times God allows tests and trials so that He can show the vastness of His saving grace.

Isaiah 43:2 – “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned.”

Notice the Scripture says when you pass through—not if. Trials will come. But they are not meant to destroy you. They are opportunities for God to reveal Himself as Deliverer, Protector, and Savior.

The Red Sea was not meant to drown Israel.
It was meant to display God’s power.

His Salvation Comes in Many Forms

Sometimes we expect God to save us one way—but He shows up in a completely different way.

The Israelites may have expected God to remove Pharaoh before they reached the sea. Instead, He parted the sea.

God’s salvation is not limited to our expectations.

Isaiah 55:8–9 – “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

He may not rescue you the way you imagined—but He will rescue you in a way that reveals His glory.

Salvation That Reveals His Power

The salvation of the Lord always reveals His power in different ways so that you can testify of His greatness.

Psalm 46:10 – “Be still, and know that I am God.”

When you stand still, you make room to witness God’s hand move.
When you stand still, you see that the battle was never yours to fight alone.

2 Chronicles 20:17 – “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.”

God fights in ways that leave no doubt it was Him.

The Red Sea opened.
The enemy was defeated.
And Israel had a testimony.

Wherever you are today—whether you feel surrounded, pressured, uncertain, or afraid—the reassurance given to Moses is for you:

Do not be afraid.
Stand still.
The Lord will fight for you.

Your situation is not beyond His saving power.
Your trial is not beyond His reach.
Your deliverance may not look the way you expected—but it will reveal His greatness.

Stand still.
Heaven is about to move.
