Romans 8:18-19, 2 Corinthians 4: 17-18
The journey to where God is taking us is not an easy one if many of us should confess. The truth is, God usually shows us the end result and how glorious it is, but He sometimes doesn’t reveal to us the journey that we have to take to get there.
For many of us, if we saw what the journey really looked like, we would have never started. We are never told the distance we have to go, the trials and hardships we have to face or to experience. If many of us should be honest with ourselves; we want to experience the glory but not the journey.
God is wise enough to show us what the end result is, but he wants us to experience the journey before we experience the glory. The journey is where we learn the greatest and most valuable lessons. This is the place where we are pruned and molded until we are mature enough to handle the glory. The experience, wisdom and knowledge are what we gather on the journey so that we can function effectively in the glory.
The purpose and destiny that God has planned for you requires the necessary preparation, and He is not about to bring you into something that you are not prepared for. The onus is on you to put yourself into the position where you are able to receive from God. Don’t expect God to put you in a place where you are not properly positioned. He’s not a God to set you up for failure; He’s setting you up for victory.
Go through your journey with patience no matter how hard it may seem. This is the place where you are made complete and fully equipped for the glory (James 1:3). Just because the journey is hard, and you cant seem to see the end result yet; it doesn’t mean that things are not going to get better.
If God has shown you a vision of where you would be, wait for it, pray for it, fight for it (1 Timothy 1:18). If you are at that place already; maintain it, because you are in this time to manifest that which the Lord has spoken over your life.
