Scripture reading: Psalm 3
Psalm 3 serves as a powerful reminder that our shining moments come from our Lord Jesus. It is He who enables us to overcome any challenges that come our way. Regardless of the trials we face – be it difficult circumstances, adversaries, or the presence of evil – the Lord is our shield and our ultimate source of victory. With this understanding, we can confidently navigate through life, knowing that we fight from a position of triumph.
It is easy to become overwhelmed when faced with formidable adversaries. However, we can find solace in the assurance that the Lord will lift our heads. When we make the Lord our glory, we can face any situation with a smile, confidence, boldness, and the assurance of victory.
Life is full of ups and downs, and it is during these challenging moments that we need to remind ourselves of the Lord’s role in our lives. He is not just a passive observer, but an active participant in our journey. When we face trials, we can rely on His strength and guidance to navigate through them. The Lord is our constant companion, offering protection and support every step of the way.
When we make the Lord Jesus our glory, we shift our focus from our own abilities to His infinite power. We acknowledge that our triumphs are not a result of our own strength, but a manifestation of His grace and favor. This realization instills in us a sense of humility, knowing that our achievements are not solely our own, but a reflection of God’s goodness and faithfulness.
By making the Lord our glory, we also cultivate a spirit of gratitude. We recognize that every victory, no matter how small, is a gift from Him. This gratitude fuels our desire to honor and serve Him wholeheartedly. We become more aware of His presence in our lives and are motivated to live in a way that brings glory to His name.
Furthermore, making the Lord Jesus our glory empowers us to face adversity with courage and resilience. When we fully trust in His power and sovereignty, we no longer need to fear the challenges that come our way. We can approach them head-on, knowing that Jesus is by our side, fighting on our behalf. This enables us to rise above our circumstances and emerge victorious.
As we journey through life, let us continually remind ourselves to make the Lord Jesus our glory. In doing so, we align ourselves with His purposes and tap into His limitless strength. We can confidently face any situation, knowing that the God is our shield, our victory, and our ultimate source of glory.
