Coming Up Higher: The Journey of Spiritual Growth in God

God is calling each one of us to come up higher in our spiritual journey. He desires that we grow closer to Him and become more like Him every day. Just like a parent wants their child to grow and mature, God wants the same for us.

In the book of Isaiah, chapter 55, verse 9, it says, ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.’ This verse reminds us that God’s ways and thoughts are above our own. He sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for us.

So, how do we come up higher in our spiritual growth? It starts with a willingness to surrender to God’s will and submit to His guidance. We must be willing to let go of our own desires and plans, and trust in His perfect plan for our lives.

Prayer and reading the Bible are also essential for our spiritual growth. Through prayer, we communicate with God and seek His wisdom and guidance. The Bible, God’s Word, is our guidebook for life. It contains the truths and principles that will help us grow in our understanding of God and His ways.

Additionally, surrounding ourselves with other believers who can encourage and support us in our journey is vital. Joining a small group or attending a Bible study can provide opportunities for fellowship, accountability, and learning from one another.

As we continue to seek God, spend time in prayer and reading His Word, and surround ourselves with fellow believers, we will experience growth in our relationship with Him. We will begin to understand His ways and thoughts more clearly and align our lives with His will.
