Pray Until Something Happens (P.U.S.H)

Scripture readings: Like 18:1, 1 Thessalonians 5:17

I have always seen the acronym PUSH posted on social media websites, which means “pray until something happens”. This is a mere reminder of how often we should pray and that we should never give up when praying. This can be hard at times, as we get weary sometimes, especially when we are not seeing any results. Sometimes the results we are looking for are not the ones we get, as they may come in different forms.

When times get hard and discouragement kicks in, we are reminded by the scripture which says that “we are to pray without ceasing” and that “men are to always pray and not get discouraged”. Sometimes we are not motivated to pray, however, we have to move pass our feelings and “push” our way through prayer. Feelings change all the time, but God has given us self control and the human will that can exceed emotions. The kind of will that says; my feelings do not dictate how I worship and pray to God.

Praying is health for the mind, body, and soul. We reap many unknown benefits in the spiritual realm when we pray as our God hears our prayers and moves on our behalf. If you cannot see anything in the physical, remember mighty things are happening in the spirit.
