2 Samuel 22: 25-35, Hebrew 12:2, Psalm 90:9
The bible tells us that our lives are like a story that is being told. Has anyone ever thought about that? or even how we would like our story to be told? Perhaps some of you would like to write your own story and how you would have liked things to turn out, but would it be in alignment with the will of God? Does the way we envision our story fulfills our purpose on this earth?
All of us have a purpose on this earth. God has given us free will to live our lives as we please, but he is also interested in our wellbeing and He has our best interest at heart; this involves walking in His will. God is a gentle man He will not force himself on us, but he will extend an invitation to your calling and the plan he has for you. If you accept this invitation and allow Him to guide your path, you will find that the outcome to your story is rewarding.
Partnering with God Means you allow Him to lead you, it means He holds the pen in your hand whenever you write. Writing your story means that in life you will have to make many daily decisions, and you will want an expert or a consultant by your side whenever those decisions are being made. There are actions that you will have to take that can either move you closer to your destiny or farther away.
Hebrews 12:2 tells us that God is the author and finisher of our faith, but God cannot be that to us if we do not allow him. Let God write your story, and you will find that in this story, whether you go through good or bad times; things will work out for your good even if the enemy meant it for evil. Partnering with God in this story promises that He will never leave you nor forsake you. He promises to provide a way of escape for you, and will not give you more than you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). He promises that you will come out as the victor and the overcomer. He promises to fight your battles. He promises to preserve you in your going out and your coming in (Psalm 121:8). He promises that even when you are hard pressed, perplexed, and persecuted on every side; yet you will not be crushed, you will not be in despair, you will not be abandoned or destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:8).
I am sure that writing your story on your own or letting others write it for you would not yield you such great confidence of the outcome. Don’t let others write your story for you, it will only transform you into someone you are not. Although you will have inputs in your storyline, commit your life’s journey to the Lord. God will help you find your purpose and to reach to your destiny. Partner with God to write your story, you won’t regret it.
