Isaiah 65 : 24, Isaiah 60: 22, Psalm 66: 18, James 4:3
It is certain that our prayers are answered when we pray. God promised that he would listen and answer our prayers even before we have finished speaking. If you feel as if your prayers are not being answered, then sometimes you need to take a step back and do some self examination.
There could be different factors as to why ours prayers go unanswered. Some of the factors include praying about things that are not in alignment with God’s will, unbelief, praying selfishly, having unrepented sins, unforgiveness, and sometimes God wants you to wait. Whatever the case may be, self inspection is something that we should all be cognizant of before we go to the Lord in prayer.
We should never stop praying, as this changes many things that may impact our daily lives. Whether your prayers are long or short; the fact is, every minute and every hour counts. Your words uttered to God is shifting atmospheres you may not be able to see with the naked eyes. God will answer when the time is right.
Prayer
Dear Lord,
Thank you for listening and answering my prayers. I repent of anything that may hinder my prayers. Cause me to give myself to prayer as it is vital in my relationship with you. Increase my faith to believe when I pray. Renew the zeal of those who have stopped praying, and let them seek your face again. Thank you for hearing us, in Jesus name. Amen.
