2 Chronicles 20: 1-30
In the midst of life’s battles and challenges, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and terrified. However, as believers, we have the assurance that God is with us and He can grant us peace on every side.
Just like the Israelites in the time of King Jehoshaphat, we may find ourselves facing insurmountable odds. The enemies may be closing in, fear may be gripping our hearts, and we may feel completely helpless. But it is in these moments that we need to remember that God is in control.
Jehoshaphat and his people were greatly afraid when they heard that a vast army was coming against them. They were outnumbered and outmatched, and it seemed like there was no way they could win the battle. However, instead of relying on their own strength, they turned to God for help.
The Lord spoke to them through one of His prophets and assured them that He would fight their battle for them. He promised them peace on every side and told them not to be afraid or discouraged. This gave them the confidence they needed to face their enemies.
Similarly, in our own lives, we may face situations that seem impossible to overcome. It could be a financial crisis, a health issue, or a broken relationship. In these moments, we need to remember that God is our protector and provider. He is fighting for us, even when we can’t see it.
When we trust in God’s sovereignty and rely on His strength, we can experience peace on every side. It doesn’t mean that the storms around us will cease, but it means that we can have peace in the midst of the storm. We can have confidence that God is working all things together for our good.
Just like the Israelites, we need to seek God’s guidance and direction in every situation. We need to pray and ask Him for wisdom and discernment. And when we do, He will lead us on the right path and grant us peace on every side.
Seasons in life do change. There will be times when we are fighting battles and facing challenges. But there will also be times when God shields us from the turmoil around us. In those moments, we can experience His peace that surpasses all understanding.
So, if you are feeling overwhelmed and terrified today, remember that God is with you. He is fighting for you and protecting you. Trust in His promises and rely on His strength. And in the midst of life’s storms, you will experience peace on every side.
